A Lexi Story

So, in Target, Lexi asks, "Mom, what are lips for?"  I respond with the usual, "What do you think?"  Here's the rest:
L: They are for kissing.
Me:  Well, that's true, but we also need them to eat and talk and drink and lot of other stuff.
L: But Mom, you have to say kissing.  That's important.
Me:  Why?
L: Because if people didn't kiss they couldn't get married.  And, if they can't get married, there wouldn't be any children!
Me: Oh, I see. 
Then, I look around the corner and see a co-worker dying laughing at the entire exchange.  So glad we could entertain :)

Adventurous Summer Weekend

So, after a sudden change of plans, we ended up at home this weekend.  Lexi and Eric have both been in the mood to be adventurous, so...they camped out on the deck one night and then we spent the next day exploring the parks in Clarks Hill.  Our exploration even took us to the dam.  It was a beautiful day, but quite exhausting...just ask Jack!

Lexi's 7th Birthday

Lexi had a fabulous birthday this year :).  She got lots of money and went shopping at American Girl in Atlanta.  She was after anything and everything McKenna.  She also enjoyed a small sleepover with 4 sweet girls.  What a lucky 7 year old!

Beach

Again, I'm behind, but here are some beach pictures.  This year, we traveled down to Navarre Beach, FL.  We spent time on the beach playing with the kids.  We also went to Pensacola, rode their Sky Wheel, saw the Blue Angels perform, and visited the Air Museum.  It was a great trip!
